When you have invested so much time and effort in a conference or seminar, particularly if high profile speakers have come from overseas or if many of your potential audience are unable to attend, it’s quite normal to want to create a video record of the event.
A 2-day conference or seminar will contain between 12 and 16 hours of presentations.  Ask yourself though will anybody want to watch a video of even half that length?
Many people choose to keep a record of their conference by having a video made but what’s the best way to go about it?
I’m going to share with you my experience from filming and attending an untold number of conferences and seminars.

Conference planning

You need to ask some key questions:
what will your audience be interested in?
will different sections of the audience be interested in different parts of the conference or seminar?
what do you want to achieve by making a video and who is your potential market?
what are the key messages from the conference or seminar?
How is the video going to distributed

A1 Conference Video Production can then help you devise a approach for your conference or seminar video that will succeed.
What is the lighting like?  Are the ceilings low?

Right so you’ve avoided those pitfalls. On the day:

A1 Conference Video Production alwaysprovide two cameras, which will be synched together.  This allows us to provide a variety of shots in the finished video DVD, or web streaming video.  It also provides safety cover in case of unforeseen events.
if the conference or seminar is illustrated with Powerpoint or Keynote slides or a software demo, we would capture that separately, using a screen-grab application such as Camtasia.  This will provide better quality than shooting the screen at the event.
Do you need any media producing for the conference? We can produce promotional videos, video messages from distant speakers, video graphics and anything else you may require. Feel free to talk to us about your needs.

After the event

we put together an MP4 rough cut for your approval, which will tell the story.
Once you approve this, we add titles, voiceover links, cutaways and other elements to provide a polished production.
Need extra copies? Not a problem
