Quickbooks online

self management more….

Before I show you my arsenal of the top Internet tools that are sure to assist you to work remotely, I wanted to make you aware of one more pearl of wisdom connected withself discipline and especially to do with keeping your focus and powers of concentration

I’ve discovered and confirmed a common trait in acquaintances who work on the Internet and I’ve known for over a long time line and I call this behavior the fifty min effect. I observed these acquaintances who focus and work for 50 minutes and then always take a complete ten minute break and are a significant order of magnitude more efficient and produce a considerably higher quality of work than colleagues who don’t have structured working methods.

OK as promised for your consideration is my list of favourite remote working online services:

Electronic Mail

Google Mail doesn’t cost anything. But in my opinion the search & label (a bit like folders) functions are superior to anything I have previously seen. So far the only gripe I have is that it runs a bit slow on not so new PC’s

Phone calls

Skype
occasionally drove me to despair as the call performance was unacceptable, but hats off for the engineers at Skype now as they have substantially changed the quality of the service. For just a few bucks a month Skype lets me call and conference in any phone and Skype subscriber on the planet. The current version of Skype has a ton of excellent features and there constantly expanding collection of valuable add ons.

Organising Content

Evernote
has connected over a million users in a very short space of time – it enables you to store, organise and annotate any type of digital media on the web. Just go check it out…it’s free.

Invoicing, Time and Expenses capture, Accounting and CRM

You almost certainly know that my burning desire to work remotely was originally inspired by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software web application. But it simply doesn’t even come close to the free edition of salesorder.com – a lead to cash system that’s as easy to use as a fork I looked at NetSuite whose pricing (and people) scared me off. My choice here is salesorder.com – Go check it out.
